Saori Kakiuchi has worked as a Japanese-American law firm, a human resource business, and an accelerator for a total of 17 years, helping Japanese companies to expand their business in the U.S. She has also worked in the U.S. for 13 years. In the U.S., she established the Atlanta branch of a staffing agency (Pasona USA) and worked in the human resources industry for 13 years. In Japan, she was involved in the start-up of a U.S. accounting firm (Plante Moran) and a Japanese law firm (Masui & Masui).
In addition, as a Japan Desk Executive at Smith Gambrell Russell LLP, she provides general corporate legal support (incorporation, intellectual property, visas, contract drafting and review, labor relations, etc.) primarily to Japanese companies that are establishing or have established operations in the U.S. She is also a partner at the U.S. law firm of Smith Gambrell Russell LLP, where she is responsible for the firm's Japan Desk. She is also a member of the Japan Desk Executive team. She specializes in new client development and networking. The US Market Access Center will further promote market expansion in Japan.
